Carrying the board around for 48hours made me think of Tehching Hsieh's One year performance. He tied himself with rope to Linda Montana for one year.
"We will stay together for one year and never be alone. We will be in the same room at the same time, when we are inside. We will be tied together at the waist with an 8 foot rope. We will never touch each other during the year."

They started out as strangers, didn’t get along all that well during it, then squabbled about whose idea it was. He has done several other one year performances, such as punching a time card on the hour, every hour for a year (out of 8760 appointments, he missed only 134); and lived in a locked caged not conversed,read nor write.
Hey I just saw that time card performance piece at the guggenheim last saturday. It was crazy, he shaved his head in the beginning and there was a video made up of the pictures he took every time he checked in on the hour; you can watch how his hair grows over time.
